Doodle Face
And yet another face, done inside the front cover of one of my hand-bound art journals. All this being confined to bed or recliner has me doodling endlessly!
Tea Pot Painting
One of my favorite paintings. I admit, I'm a tea snob. I don't do bagged tea, only loose leaf. There is something very ritualistic in making a pot of tea. This painting is a tribute to my feelings about tea, the spirituality of tea & my love for the Sacred in every day things.
More Doodle Faces
A few more late night, so exhausted from no sleep doodle faces. Can you tell I watched 'The Buddah' on PBS while drawing?

Doodle Face
My pain levels have been off the charts so I'm stuck staying in bed or on the couch. Tonight I sketched all night. Just doodling, working on faces, trying to keep my mind off the pain. This doodle face is one of my favorites. There's just something about it I really like, so I'm glad I did it right in my art journal instead of the sketch book!

Journal Pages Jan. 12 2011
Anyone who has been coming here for a while knows I suffer from severe, chronic pain. Today was a real bad day. Flat on my back, unable to move & feeling a bit like Frida as I struggled to work. These pages are an expression of that pain & struggle.
This page has an ink sprayed background, some stamping and then journaling with a paint pen.
This page has a monoprint over an ink sprayed background. It was embellished with various markers & paint pens and a few Zetti stamps.

Journal Page Jan. 10 2011
I have a serious addiction to books. My "library", which is essentially every nook & cranny in the house, had over 2500 books at last count. This page reflects my love for those delightful tomes, in all their many shapes & guises.
